Melt butter and brush it on the bread once removed from the oven. Allow to cool in the pan a few minutes. This keeps the crust softer. Thanks Tanya for this little bread secret!
This bread is easy and makes a wonderful addition to a dinner. I even used a slice for a chicken salad sandwich which was excellent.
1c warm water
Dissolve sugar in warm water, then stir in yeast. Allow to stand until forms creamy foam (15 min). Add oil. Swish around to mix together. Add flour on top and salt.
knead. Cover and let rise until doubled. Form loaf and put in greased pan. Cover and let rise. 30-45min.
Bake 350 for 25-30 minutes.
