Before my Mom left for Kenya she bought a globe for the boys. Peacock was excited and put it in his room right by his bed! They ask about the different countries. We have shown them Mom's flight plan and where she will be. They really love it. Well one night they were asking a lot of questions and it led us to talking about the time change -- Kenya being 8 hours ahead of us. We turned off the light and talked about the dark room. Before God created light there was darkness. Then God said "let there be light" and we used a flashlight for the sun. We explained how it is daytime for where we are and night time on the other side. The earth rotates making it a different time for each continent. The boys loved it!
