SARAH'S HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

I am in denial that this time has come, but there is no stopping it. On Thursday of next week my niece, the first grandchild for my parents, will graduate from high school. She is beautiful. I look forward to being present for her graduation.

MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! We had a good day. Daniel bought us mothers flowers and a chocolate bar! At church the Mother's were given the book "Created to be his Helpmeet" by Debi Pearl. I have been wanting to read the book since I first heard about it on the MOMYS Digest years ago. They gave another gift to the oldest Mother and the Mother with the most children. Well since I am expecting our fifth the prize was given to me! [Note: we go to a very small church! Maybe 12 families so winning is not a hard thing to do!] Still I never win prizes.

As for my surprise from the kids.... well they made me a coconut cake all by themselves. Grandma only put the pans in and took them out of the oven. The kids added all the ingredients, mixed, poured, icing and decorated a two layer cake by themselves! They did a great job! I was impressed. Then my Mother came over after church with lunch... turkey, dressing, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, corn, and rolls. It was really good. Thankfully she did not take offense when I ran to the bathroom after eating my plate full! That happens in my first trimester... everyone is used to it!

I want to thank both of our Mothers for their love, strength, example, and all that they are. They allowed God to make them who they are. We love you both and praise God for you!

RANDOM HAPPENINGS

Okay what have we been up to lately?

Smiley loves to say "uh oh!"

Little Mama is terribly afraid of "la ne!!!!" Which is "the noise"in her vocabulary. How am I supposed to tell every man in the country not to run their tractor or lawnmower... Daddy, Gramps and Uncle Derek included. We will be outside playing and her keen hearing will hear one start up and she is crying to go inside! This will be a long summer with tractors noise everyday!

We missed church on Sunday? Why? Because of an ant invasion in our van! We were ready and got in to buckle the kids. I noticed some ants on Smiley's pants. Why ants? Then Peacock said "Mommy, look at Little Mama's shoes. They are covered with ants!" Sure enough her sandals had ants all over! I quickly picked Smiley out of his seat to find about 20 ants coming out from under the cushion where his buckle is between his legs! We quickly got out. Why so many ants? What are they searching for? We hardly ever eat in our van and Smiley has never ate in his car seat! Daniel put a fogger in the van and now it needs vacuumed and upholstery cleaned! I have cleaned some car seat covers. Any one ever have a weirder situation that made you miss church? Seriously, how strange to tell Pastor why we missed church. Ants! The invasion of ants!

I am TIRED!!!! Trying to keep up with house work, and letting a few things slide. Thankfully some of my children have given me a helping hand. The most funny thing is, my kids seem to get very interested when I run while I am gagging reflexes and spit up! Why? I have no clue but I usually have an audience for it. Please give me space! Isn't it a strange feeling to want to eat everything in sight and yet can hardly take a bite?

HOOPS AND YOYO

Have you guys heard of Hoops and Yoyo? No? Well me either until yesterday. Let me just say I laughed so hard Daniel thought I was going crazy! You have got to see their talk about manners.

My favorite: asking to go out and play. Yeah, we have this one at our house. Peacock at the bottom of the stairs yelling to ask me upstairs if he can wait outside on the porch. Of course I do not answer because I am too far and hate yelling from different rooms but he on the other hands thinks if he can say it louder then I will answer! Thankfully he doesn't yell "What?" even louder at the end! Too funny!

Peacock's favorite: opening the door! Yes he actually does this gentlemanly skill without being asked really well but thought it was funny.

HooDoo's favorite: the
big SNEEZE!
He laughed uncontrollably at this!

Thanks to Kim C Life in a Shoe for sharing this find with us! Hilarious!

SMALL HAPPENINGS

The beginnings of a pine cone.

The ever innocent HooDoo!

I think I need to buy Little Mama a sticker book! I got free letter stickers in the mail on Saturday and she ever so sweetly shared them with Daniel!

Peacock wanted to help me give Smiley his first official haircut. I put the one inch cutter on the clippers and showed him how to cut. He did a good first time job! Of course, it was not this traumatic, he was just ready to be held by Mommy!
