THE RESCUE

Yesterday around 4ish we walked out our back gate. I stopped to wait to Smiley and I heard a noise. Why did I just hear a kitten? Did I really just hear a kitten? Yep, there is that sound again. Definately a kitten! So we walked farther down the path along the pond. Yep, there it is. We called for it. We searched for it, but not going down to the pond since the grass is way too high! Sarah and the kids came out to hear and try as well. Nothing. By the time the Daddies got home it would of been too dark.

This morning, I told the kids that we were going to go back out and see if we hear the kitten. Little Mama even grabbed a can of tuna fish for it to eat! :) Nothing. Oh great. It must of died. But wait, what do I hear? Yes, the kitten! Yeah!!! The kitten is alright! The kids ran to Sarah's to tell them the kitten was still there. We talked about options on how to rescue the kitten. Sarah remembered she had tall boots. She braved the tall grass, mud and pond. Finally by the grace of God we found the kitten! So tiny. Eyes still closed. Placenta cord still attached! We carried it back to her house and gave it special milk! :) She is crawling all over and just so soft!




As for names: Lucky, Claw, CupCake, Kitty, Moses, Maggot, Scum, (can you guess which ones were from Sarah and I?)
