PROUD OF THIS SKIRT

You may or may not remember this dress I made for Little Mama with Sarah's dress pattern... thanks to her help. I was satisfied with it as a play dress.

Well sometime back I was thinking about skirts for Little Mama and I thought of an easy skirt to make. But my easy thinking is not always accurate or possible. So a few weeks ago Sarah and I got on the subject of skirts as she had been thinking of making some for Eliana. Her thought was the same as mine. A rectangle cut, sew the the back and seams, elastic waistband. That would be easy. I made this skirt and a purple skirt for Little Mama and am VERY PLEASED with how it looks! It was so easy!!!!

ah, to be handy! Skirts are a great idea for little girls. Just now started browsing your blog. I like the top photo!

By the way, you asked about the art book: she has lots, but that pic was from a set called Draw Write Now - a really neat handwriting/art curriculum. I got the whole 8 bk set at less than 1/2 price at a home school conference. Usborne makes some excellent ones that work for really little kids.

Love the skirt! Part of the fun of making clothes is picking out the pattern you want. This one is very sweet. :)
