BEAUTIFUL BANANAS

Beautiful Bananas by Elizabeth Laird

This is a story of a little girl who lives in East Africa. She is on her way to her Grandpa's house bearing a gift. On her way through the jungle she encounters several animals who accidentally take her gift. She politely asks for it back or explains that it was a gift for her Grandpa. They in turn apoligize and give her something of value to them. She ends up with a special gift for her Grandpa. Very sweet and colorful illustrations by Liz Pichon.

That sounds like a great story! I will have to check it out on my next trip to the library. Thank you for taking the time to post your review.

I will have to have a look at that book. I am always interested in multicultural books. This one seems to have another nice lesson as well!
