WHAT WILL THIS LEAD TO?

We do not have any tv channels and I pretty much clueless as to what is going on outside of my house and my friend's blogs! Mom has started giving me her "WORLD" magazines when she is finished reading them. I read one today and it had an article about spanking. Some countries have banned "corporal punishment" on children. In Canada you can only spank a child between the ages 2 and 12 and never with a belt or object. They are pushing a spanking ban here in the US. [okay, some of you may know this, but I did not! Like I said, I am clueless to some things. Maybe I should start reading other subjects besides CHILDBIRTH!] The article did bring up "Shepharding A Child's Heart" by Tedd Tripp --- excellent book with wonderful references from scripture--- as well as Ginger Plowman's book "Don't Make Me Count To Three." They could of also used John MacArthur's books as well.

Anyway, after reading this and looking up several anti-spanking websites has got me thinking. Can and will they actually pass a law against parents spanking their children because some parents do abuse their children in the form of spanking? If so, then what will stop them from saying parents cannot teach their child their religion or "make" them go to church? What about the poor helpless children who are given second hand smoke from their parents? Lung disease kills and second hand smoke is just as bad and harmful as actually smoking!

Have you ever visited Gentle Christian Mothers. That site is very confusing. Anti-spanking. Not quite understanding their theology.

hmm..I didn't know about the U.S. considering banning spanking either-but I'm not surprised. It's crazy that you can't discipline your children in public anymore for fear of DSS knocking on your door!

I'm surprised that the US would consider that, yet nothing realy surprises me any more...sigh

We as parents seem to be loosing all rights to our children. If that ever really passed as a law then I would assume that many things would follow. Such as no homeschooling and that you must vacinate. Perhaps that is when we chaulk it all up as a loss and move to the back hills of Kentucky.

What a blessing to have that loan paid off. I cant fathum even having that much money much less just giving it away. Probably why the Lord has never given me 100,000 dollars LOL

I was so excited to read that you are serious about coming!!!! I cant wait!

Have a Great Week!
